Saracens Club Partnership Programme

The Saracens Club Partnership Programme is designed to build strong relationships between Saracens and local rugby clubs in the north London area. Saracens are committed to the development of the game and believe that the most effective way of achieving this is in partnership with the local rugby community. Through structured and regular access to our professional resources such as players, coaching staff and the Community Development Team, Saracens are working to promote rugby in the local area and help support our ‘Partner Clubs’.

For those clubs that regularly attend Saracens games, the following package benefits their members, coaches and young players:

  • Opportunities to sell discounted tickets in order to raise funds for the club.
  • Coach Development Opportunities – through ‘Coach the Coaches’ sessions and ‘Open Days’ at the Saracens training ground.
  • Free membership to Saracens’ Junior Fan Clubs: ‘Sarrie’s Squad’ (for U7-U12s) and our new fan club for Junior Players - ‘Ruck15’ (U13-U16s).
  • Links from www.saracens.com website to partner clubs website, with information about each club.
  • Regular updates to clubs with news about players, forthcoming games and activities available for club members.
  • Opportunities to be involved in Pre-Match Activities over the season such as on pitch games, pre-match coaching, stadium tours and the guard of honour.

Over the 2005-6 season 30 local clubs have been involved in the Saracens Club Partnership Programme. Together they have collectively sold over 8400 tickets for Saracens home games, raising an estimated £14,000-15,000 for new kit and equipment for the junior teams. Of these clubs 12 have had U8s teams play on the pitch, 12 clubs have been involved in pre-match coaching sessions led by Saracens players and over 450 children have made up the guard of honour tunnel.

Through our coach development programme, exclusive to partner club coaches, 175 coaches have attended our four ‘Coach the Coaches’ sessions and our
four ‘Coaches Open Days’ an benefited from the expertise of Saracens professional players.

Throughout the season Saracens players have also visited our partner clubs on 65 different occasions, helping with coaching, handing out prizes and signing autographs.

In addition to this 1574 young players have also joined Sarrie’s Squad for FREE and have benefited from special regular emails from the Coolest Camel around, special Squad events, the chance to be a Saracens mascot and much more.
