Discipline
The committee of Saffron Walden RFC
is committed to develop the 'spirit' of rugby along with playing the game. With this in
mind, playing members of the club are expected to adhere to these guidelines.
- Play to the laws of the game
- Accept all the referee's decisions
- Control your temper - you and your team will
benefit
- Co-operate with your coach, referee, team mates
& opponents. For without them, there would be no game
- Remember, the game is played for enjoyment
In addition, spectators, parents
and all other visitors to the club are requested to adhere to the
following guidelines.
- Respect the referee and all of
his decisions
- Keep of the pitch during the
game
- Parents - encourage your
children to have fun
Saffron Walden RFC, as required by
the RFU and Eastern Counties RU has an internal Discipline Sub-Committee
to deal with playing members who have been cautioned or dismissed whilst
representing the club. The sub-committee is made up of The Chairman, The Honorary Secretary and the Director
Of Rugby.Equity Policy
Saffron Walden RFC is committed to ensuring that equity is incorporated
across all aspects of its development. In doing so it acknowledges and
adopts the following Sports England definition of sports equity.
Sports equity is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognising
inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the
culture and structure of sport to ensure it becomes equally accessible to
everyone in society. Saffron Walden RFC respects the rights, dignity and
worth of every person and will treat everyone equally within the context of
their sport, regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious
belief, sexuality or social/economic status.
Saffron Walden RFC is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their
sport in an environment free from threat of intimidation, harassment and
abuse. All club members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory
behaviour and promote equality of opportunity. The club will deal with any
incidence of discriminatory behaviour seriously, according to club
disciplinary procedures. |
